A joint investigation is now underway after a large fire took place behind a kebab house in Gainsborough. Lincolnshire Police and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue are working together to determine the cause as it remains unclear at this stage whether it was a deliberate ignition.
Police received reports of a blaze at the garages behind the Gainsborough Grill just after 11pm on Saturday, October 20. There were no injuries reported and investigators say there were no petrol accelerants found at the scene.
The Police are now appealing to the public for assistance with the investigation. A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses and any other information that can assist in our inquiries.
