Police were on the scene at three cannabis grows, which have been found in the Gainsborough area, following proactive police work.
Officers were called to Tower Street at 12:41 p.m. on Thursday afternoon (31 August 2023), to reports of suspicious circumstances.
On attendance, they found multiple rooms being used to grow cannabis plants at a property in the street, and investigations by officers at the scene led to another address in Trent Street, where a further cannabis grow was uncovered.
A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned about the production of a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis at that location. He remains in police custody.
The investigation continued, and another property in Tower Street was searched later that afternoon. More than 500 plants have been uncovered across the three grows so far.
Three vehicles have also been seized in connection with the incidents.
Western Power was contacted to make all three properties safe, and the grows are being dismantled to be destroyed.
Officers remain on scene and in the local area carrying out initial enquiries today and are now asking for help with their investigation.
