B&M has revealed plans to open 14 new stores this summer, with the first one set to launch as early as this week. Lincolnshire is set to benefit from the expansion, with the retailer moving into a large empty unit in Marshall’s Yard, Gainsborough.

This summer will see the next step in the bargain retailer’s expansion plans, with B&M hoping to open another 250 stores in the coming years. Among the planned openings over the next few months, three are relocations following the chain’s purchase of former Wilko stores last year, while one is an expansion of an existing location.

The Gainsborough store is set to move to a former Wilko in Marshalls Yard. The current store in Lord Street will close its doors on July 17, three days before its reopening at the new site, says the B&M website.

The three stores undergoing relocation include BandM’s outlets in Bulwell, Nottingham, Oldham in Greater Manchester, and Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. In Nottingham, the existing B&M store is scheduled to shut down on June 7, with the new outlet opening shortly after June 12.

Since January, the budget retailer B&M has launched 24 new stores across the UK, with the latest opening on May 31 in Bexleyheath, London. Boasting over 700 outlets nationwide, B&M is aiming for a long-term goal of reaching 950 locations.
